The Glasgow Educational and Marshall Trust is a charitable institution which came into existence in 1936.

The sole purpose of the Trust is to govern and administer bursaries and endowments by means of a governing body consisting of 22 elected governors and not more than 4 co‑opted governors.

The value of individual awards ranges between £100 and £1,000 although in exceptional cases higher awards have been made. In the year to 31st March 2004 the Trust made around 81 awards totalling approximately £50,000.

It is an absolute requirement that awards can only be made to persons who have lived in the City of Glasgow for a minimum of five years. For details of eligibility please visit the eligibility section of the site.
